LuxQuanta at ECOC Glasgow 2023 | Market Focus session

- Glasgow, 4th of October 2023. Two representatives from the company attends one of the most prestigious events in the field of Optical communications, the European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC). The company exhibit its groundreaking technology in a booth located in a central and strategic point of the fair. 

ABOUT THE EVENT

The conference brings together experts and leaders from academia, research and industry across the globe to share their latest breakthroughs and visions for the future. Located this year in the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), in Glasgow, It encompasses everything from the materials and devices that make optical communication possible, to the systems and networks that use them.

Our presence at the exhibition was focused on showing the potential of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD9 to the Optical Communications industry, and spread the awareness of the potential use cases and need of the technology to protect current communications. The booth, located at a stratgeic point near de market focus, aimed to showcase the system and its details by audiovisuals and the assistance of two experts from the company. 

The conference serves as a dynamic platform where experts and thought leaders from academia, research, and industry worldwide unite to not only share their latest breakthroughs but also to discuss about the paths for the future. The show and conference encompasses everything from the very materials and devices that make optical communication possible, all the way to the complex systems and networks that harness their power.

In our quest to make a difference, our presence at the exhibition was dedicated to showcasing the potential of Quantum Key Distribution, a transformative technology that is set to be deployed within the Optical Communications industry. LUXQUANTA AT THE EVENT

The goal of the company with its presence at ECOC 2023 was mainly to increase teh awareness of QKD and spread the word abou tthe need to safeguard current communication within teh industry. For that aim, two of our veterans employees, Dr. Jeison Tabares, Head of Optical HArdware Engineering, and Sergi Vizcaíno, Strategy & Outreach Manager represented the company in a well located booth shown below.  Near the market focus stage, the stand was visible to all the attendees that went to hear the technical presentations of experts in the field, passing by to learn more about LuxQuanta's Solution. 

Our primary objective at ECOC 2023 was to raise awareness about the significance of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and to advocate for the imperative need to fortify current communication standards within the industry. To bring this mission to life, we had the honor of being represented by two distinguished members of our team, Dr. Jeison Tabares, our Head of Optical Hardware Engineering, and Sergi Vizcaíno, our Strategy & Outreach Manager. Their presence at our strategically positioned booth, shown below, was key in spreading our message.

Situated in close proximity to the Market Focus stage, our booth caught the attention of all attendees who gathered to listen to the technical presentations of industry experts. Its prominent location ensured that anyone with a curiosity about LuxQuanta's innovative solutions couldn't help but notice. We were not just showcasing a product; we were igniting a conversation about the future of secure communication. MARKET FOCUS: The Growing Market of Quantum Key Distribution.

Not only the booth was located near the Market Focus sessions, but LuxQuanta also has a slot to present and share the ocmpany insights to the wide audience. In this case, our Strategy & Outreach Manager Sergi Vizcaíno, shared a general vision of the current state of Quantum key Dsitribution technology, where our system NOVA LQ® stand out as a key european CV-QKD technology. Not only that, but more importantly he also listed the different factors that are leading the exponential growth of the QKD market, expected to reach around 5$ Billion by 2031, with a clear exponential curve. 

Althought the forecats are promising, there are still many challenges to overcome by all QKD manufacturers. There is a need to upgrade the technology and ignite collaboration btween industry players to be able to make a global QKD deployment to secure communications from Quntum computers a reality. 

The strategic positioning of our booth was just the beginning of our impactful presence at ECOC 2023. LuxQuanta also secured a slot in the Market Focus sessions to share our insights with the wider audience. During this session, our Strategy & Outreach Manager, Sergi Vizcaíno, presented a comprehensive picture of the current state of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology. Among this technological landscape, our very own NOVA LQ® stood out as a key European Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution (CV-QKD) technology, determined to  shape the industry with unique value propositions. 

Sergi also developed the various factors propelling the exponential growth of the QKD market, a trajectory that is projected to surge to a staggering $5 billion by 2031, following a clear exponential curve. The forecasts are undeniably promising, but they come with a set of challenges that QKD manufacturers, including LuxQuanta, must confront head-on.

To fully harness the potential of QKD and make global QKD deployment a reality in safeguarding communications against the coming threat of Quantum Computers, there's a pressing need for technology upgrades and a collaborative spirit among industry players.
