LuxQuanta Demonstrates Quantum-Safe Solutions Between Data Centers and AWS
Barcelona, July 2nd, 2025 – LuxQuanta, in collaboration with Juniper Networks, lyntia, and Merqury Cybersecurity, announces the successful demonstration of a quantum-secure communication link connecting on-premises data centers with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This cross-industry effort is part of a broader initiative to build future-proof network infrastructure, leveraging quantum technologies to defend critical data transmissions against the threat of quantum-computer cyberattacks.
The demonstration integrates LuxQuanta’s Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution (CV-QKD) systems - NOVA LQ® - Juniper’s AI-Native security solutions, lyntia’s backbone fiber infrastructure, and Merqury’s post-quantum key management technology. Overall, proving that secure, quantum-resistant cloud connectivity is not only feasible but deployable today.

A New Quantum-Safe Network Architecture
Governments around the world, including the U.S., UK, Germany, and EU institutions, have formally recognized data centers as critical national infrastructure. As quantum computing advances, so too does the urgency to deploy quantum-resistant communication solutions capable of protecting sensitive data well into the future.
The demo, conducted at the AWS Direct Connect facility in Madrid, showcases a point-to-multipoint quantum-secure network. Until now, QKD deployments were limited to isolated links between individual sender-receiver pairs. This latest demonstration evidences that it is now possible to distribute quantum keys from a single transmitter to multiple independent receivers thanks to LuxQuanta’s comercial CV-QKD System NOVA LQ®, significantly reducing infrastructure costs and enabling scalable quantum security.
Real-World Integration and Operational Readiness
The setup featured dynamic routing over lyntia’s metropolitan optical network, staging real traffic from management and monitoring systems. LuxQuanta’s QKD modules seamlessly integrated with Juniper’s encryption solutions, securing optical links across the network.
