LuxQuanta Secures NEOTEC Grant from CDTI to Advance Its QKD Technology
LuxQuanta has been awarded the prestigious NEOTEC grant, co-financed by the CDTI (Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology and Innovation, Spain). The NEOTEC grant is designed to support and strengthen technology-based companies by funding projects centred on technological innovation.
Of 441 applications, LuxQuanta was among the 115 selected to receive NEOTEC financing. The funds will be used to advance the development of LuxQuanta’s Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution technology.
The NEOTEC program is part of Spain’s Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, financed by the “Next Generation EU” initiative and the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation. In 2023, NEOTEC concluded its call for applications with 115 projects, distributing a budget of €50.3 million, of which CDTI financed €35 million.
To be recognised by such a prestigious national grant, a company must be deeply involved in developing its own technology as its business core. The support provided by this grant is a significant boost for the growth and development of tech-based companies, particularly in their early years, and serves as a statement of the solid foundations that the company is building and aiming for.
Thanks to NEOTEC, we continue to work with renewed confidence and resources, striving to achieve our most ambitious goals and deliver the world’s leading Quantum Key Distribution technology.
